At the Fredericksburg Field House we have decided that cold weather and seasonality mean nothing to us; we just want to play.  The Field House strives to offer kids the chance to play as much as possible which is why we offer Quickball, indoor baseball, for youth teams.  Quickball moves the rules and concepts of baseball into the indoor arena where kids are playing in compact setting, which is filled with rapid action and swift decisions.  Quickball is just that, quick so that the game is exciting both for players and spectators.  Take baseball to whole new level, come play Quickball. 

What is Quickball? Quickball is a revolutionary new agility sport that combines the most exciting elements of baseball and softball.  Home runs, extra-base hits, double plays and pickoffs are all part of the action.  Games are fast.  Size and strength do not matter, quickness and agility do.

Ripken Quickball is a national enhancement program that was introduced in 1999 and is now the official grassroots sport of Ripken Baseball.  Quickball has developed into one of the fastest growing recreational baseball programs in the country and is currently being played by thousands of students on campuses across the country.  Through all of its growth, the mission of all Quickball programs and game equipment has remained the same - make baseball more fun and easier to play, regardless of the skill level.

Age cutoff date is October 20th.
